Hey everyone, welcome back!
This week’s devlog highlight? I finally got Crazy Little Robots running on my phone — a major milestone. Seeing the game outside Unity and in my hands was incredibly satisfying. You can now dive into three playable levels, and the core controls feel responsive and smooth. It’s not just a concept anymore — it’s starting to feel like a real mobile experience.
🎯 What I tackled last week
- Built and deployed the Android APK
- Verified game scale, touch sensitivity, and UI placement
- Smoothed out player movement for mobile
- Confirmed overall performance feels good on-device
🔁 Shift in focus for this week
Now that the build pipeline is working and the basics are solid, I’m turning my attention back to actual game development:
✅ This week’s plan:
- Add more levels with new layouts and challenges
- Tweak UI and HUD elements for better clarity
- Begin adding feedback (like haptics or visual cues)
- Start small polish passes on existing content
🤔 Why this matters
Getting the game onto my phone was a necessary and motivating step. It’s one thing to test in the Unity editor — but holding it in my hands made it real. Now it’s time to keep building on that momentum and shape the player experience more intentionally.
🚀 Next devlog checkpoint:
- Level 4
- Feedback systems
- Initial polish
- Broader device testing (once ready)
Thanks for reading — progress may be steady, but it’s moving forward. I’ll be back in next weeks devlog with another update as Crazy Little Robots continues to evolve!
